Carbon Action Standard
We're proud to announce that Economic Solutions has
been awarded the Carbon Action Standard.
The Carbon Action Standard requires the Group to demonstrate environmental awareness, implement measures to reduce CO2 and to continually improve environmental performance. The assessment took place across several of our sites in May and December 2010.
Our key achievements to date which helped demonstrate our environmental commitment:
- Reduced gas usage by 15%
- Reduced business car travel by 21%
- Increased rail travel by 4.1%
These are just some examples of what we have achieved and we continue working to reduce our footprint further over the next 12 months.

Using the standard as a starting point, companies are able to plan and effect a series of actions that will save carbon emissions and energy, thereby creating cost savings in the process. In addition, the customer's adherence to this standard is capable of being independently verified.
