Offenders Services (OLASS)
Our offender services deliver a series of special classes to prepare offenders for sustainable employment.
Our Offender Learning and Skills Service (OLASS), delivered in partnership with the Probation Service, supports 4,000 offenders every year to improve their literacy and numeracy skills and start to consider employment and training on release.
The ‘thinking skills for the workplace' course is designed to help offenders deal with interpersonal issues that may prevent them from finding and keeping a job.
It is the first time such a scheme has been launched outside a prison environment. We help to maximise clients' chances of successful re-settlement by addressing social and personal development issues such as housing, drugs and relationships.
