Social Enterprise
If you would like to run a company that has a social aim and invests all of its profits back into the community it serves, then a social enterprise could be an option for you.
We run a programme of start-up workshops, 1-to-1 support, and networking events specifically designed to support a wide range of social businesses to thrive and develop.
What is a social enterprise?
A Social Enterprise is commonly defined as "a business with primarily social objectives whose surpluses are principally reinvested for that purpose in the business or in the community, rather that being driven by the need to maximise profits for shareholders and owners" (Dti 2004)
Our Social Enterprise Support includes:
- Group workshops - that provide a pathway from the initial stages of developing your social enterprise idea, right through to setting the business up and getting started.
- Specialist Legal Advisors - can help you choose the best structure for your company.
- 1-to-1 reviews - our expert advisors keep in touch throughout your journey to review your progress and provide help and advice.
- Ongoing support - we will keep in touch with regular business health checks to keep you on track.
