Apprenticeships are high on the agenda of both government and business and the demand for such services is set to rise. As one of the largest work based learning provider in the North West, we are committed to aiding and supporting anyone seeking an alternative to full-time education offering you a chance for real career success through Apprenticeship programmes. We offer Apprenticecships in the following areas:

Apprenticeships and Adult Apprenticeships

Apprentices are normally employed or on a programme that can lead to employment but if you have to move or want to move employers when you have completed your apprenticeships you will have achieved qualifications that will help you to find work.

An Apprenticeship has several qualifications included in it and is the gold standard for most employers.

Examples of Qualifications that you will achieve:

  • NVQs at level 2  or 3  or 4 that are well recognised in the job area
  • A Technical Certificate that can be by City and Guilds, BTEC or others.
  • Key Skills Certificates that are valued by employers.
  • Other important qualifications needed for your trade area.

There are two routes into an apprenticeship

1.      Through an employer's apprenticeship vacancy

  • We work with employers and help them to find suitable young people
  • We look for vacancies
  • You may find your own opportunity
  • Earning a wage and learning from day one
  • Attend a college or training centre on day release
  • Achieve an NVQ in the workplace

2.      Via a Programme Led Apprenticeship

  • A block of upfront training whilst getting Education Maintenance Allowance **plus travel expenses.
  • When you complete we help you to find a job as an apprentice.
  • You complete your apprenticeship whilst earning a wage and learning.

What do you need to be like to succeed in an apprenticeship?

  • Keen and determined to work in your chosen trade area
  • Enjoy learning at College and in the Workplace
  • Meet entry requirements

Adult Apprenticeships

  • Available in Hairdressing, Plastering, Tiling, Joinery
  • Entry requirements are the same as with normal apprenticeships
  • You need to be living in England and not taking part in full time education.

We work with over 2,000 employers across Greater Manchester so have great routes for our learners into employment. We are Grade 2 "good" OFSTED rated and have above average learner achievement rates.
